Reporting the Director of Project Management,  the successful proponent will be responsible for management all aspects of nuclear projects from receipt of purchase order through final installation and final customer acceptance.  This role will require leadership of a multi-disciplinary project team to execute projects safely and to the highest quality standards. 

The project manager is expected to develop and maintain positive client relationships and is responsible for customer satisfaction. 


Manage project risks including: 
•    Assessment and identification of risks 
•    Develop and implement risk mitigation plan(s) 

Project Planning: 
•    Develop project execution plan, track, and maintain project schedules and budgets
•    Identify and manage project risks 

Project Financial Management: 
•    Working with the financial analyst, ensure all billings and invoicing is accurate and submitted on time 
•    Prepare and maintain accurate project forecasting for labor and materials 

Team Leadership: 
•    Encourages and mentor employees to ensure that the build team’s morale and efficiency is maintained at the highest level. 
•    Manage projects and project teams in accordance with all applicable ATS procedures
•    Conduct regular team meetings and issue regular project updates to the project team

Management Reporting: 
•    Attend the project status meeting as requested by the Program Manager and/or Director, Project Management. 
•    Clear and concise reporting to different levels of senior management.
•    For larger programs, this position may report to a Program Manager. 

Project Change Management: 
•    Responsible for contract administration including management of the change control process 


•    Post- secondary college diploma, engineering degree or equivalent, specializing in electronics, electrical, mechanical or controls engineering 
•    Completion of or in the process of achieving the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset. 

•    Must have experience managing automation projects in excess of $1 million with multiple disciplinary teams. 
•    5+ years of working experience as a Project Manager on nuclear/power/utilities/energy related projects is preferred.
•    Must have a proven track record of providing positive leadership and coordination to a multi-disciplined project design and construction team. 
•    Must have acted in a leading role with a minimum of three years’ experience in a variety of projects/markets on a multidiscipline team. 
•    Practical working knowledge of robots, PLC’s, instrumentation or other machine controls packages, sensors and pneumatics is an asset. 
•    Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude, and proven trouble-shooting skills. 
•    An ability to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure-filled conditions is essential.
