Shipping and Receiving
Job Description
Must be able to work in a professional manufacturing team-based environment with an exceptional “can do” attitude and a commitment to quality, timeliness, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
Physical Receiving of Material
Unload truck and coordinate with other team members as needed.
Check packing list/shipper to verify the items shown there match the part numbers and quantities of material received.
Make notes of any discrepancies on packing list/shipper (damages, backorder etc.).
Sign and Date (print name) the packing list after the materials have been received and verified.
Write job number on packing list – By Shipping & Receiving Team Member.
Write job number on box and put on designated job shelf.
Inform person who placed the order that the material has been received and location of material.
Administrative Receiving of Material
Enter received material information from shipper into Encompix or Sage, accounting for any discrepancies noted on the shipper.
File original copy by job number for large jobs; by vendor for smaller jobs.
Issue reports from Encompix to Project Manager daily or weekly, on an established schedule or as requested:
o Reports for all open projects, by job number
o Reports for all received product in each specific job
o Reports for past due material per job
Responsible for ensuring the environment is clean, free of unnecessary items, and organized in an orderly fashion.
Responsible for delivering material to proper location and ensure that it is properly accounted for at all times.
Implement 5S concept to improve operations.
Return of Material to Vendor
Email Purchasing dept. regarding damaged material or overage in materials (Purchasing will contact vendor). Include the following:
o Job Number
o Product Number(s) affected
o Pictures of damaged product
Once the vendor’s RMA (Return Material Authorization) is forwarded to us by Purchasing, follow the vendor’s instructions in order to return materials (always include RMA from vendor). It may be necessary to use the vendor’s shipping instructions that will be separate from our own shipping procedures.

Qualifications - Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Associates degree in applicable field
Three to seven years of experience
Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)
Work in compliance with divisional health, safety, and environmental procedures
Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
Report defect in any equipment or protective device
Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
Attend all required health, safety, and environmental training
Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct
