Job Description

The candidate must be able to work in a professional engineering team-based environment. Engineering teams are responsible for the design, integration, and support of control systems for customer applications and processes. Duties may include and are not limited to PLC and HMI programming, network design, system commissioning, system support, internal/external training and technical consultation. Siemens specific programming support with Automotive OEM programming standards, with 2+ years experience or other demonstrated success.  Team members have the opportunity to learn new skills and to work in a very rewarding and fast paced environment that varies from customer to customer.

This position requires a combination of formal standards training and/or experience on at least one major automotive OEM programming standard such as:
Customer Specifications and Standards
• Mercedes (Integra Standard Wave 5)
• BMW L8/V8
• Volvo/Tesla/FCA/GM/Ford, etc.
Experience in some of the following is required:
Design and program PLC controlled systems utilizing multiple software suites:
• Rockwell – Studio5000, RSLogix, RSLinx, RSNetworx
• Siemens – TIA Portal V13/V14, Step 7
• Omron/Schneider/GE/Pilz, etc.
Design and configure HMIs utilizing multiple software suites:
• Rockwell – RSLinx, RSNetworx, RSView ME/SE, FactoryTalk View ME/SE
• Siemens – TIA Portal Comfort, TIA Portal Advanced, WinCC Flexible, WinCC SCADA
• integraDesignerPro
• Ignition!
• Wonderware
Industrial Communication
Design, configuration, setup, troubleshooting and protocol analysis of some or all of the following interfaces:
Rockwell-Allen Bradley
• Ethernet-IP
o Produced/Consumed model
o CIP messaging
o Generic Ethernet Module
o Add-On-Profiles
• DeviceNet
o Baud rate and effects on network lengths and number of nodes
o Routing, critical distances, drop lengths, terminations, etc.
o Proper bonding and grounding concepts.
o Using test equipment
• ControlNet
o Scheduling
o Routing, critical distances, drop lengths, terminations, etc.
• ProfiNet
o Naming
o Node limitations
o Network testing

Minimum Requirement:
• Experience and/or certified training on at least one Automotive OEM Programming Standard
• 2+ years of applicable experience, or other demonstrated success, in an industrial/automotive environment that includes design, debug, startup and production-readying of industrial controls equipment
