Compliance Manager

Job Description


Position Title: Compliance Manager
Department: Corporate Legal
Reports To: VP, Legal & Global Compliance


Job Summary:
As Compliance Manager, this role will report to our VP, Legal & Global Compliance and will support the advancement of ATS’ global compliance program. This will include supporting the development, communication, implementation, and enforcement of ATS’ compliance policies and procedures across the organization world-wide.


This role will also work in conjunction with our VP to support the company on ad hoc compliance-related issues and emerging trends, such as the organization’s pandemic response, and the associated and evolving regulatory landscape.



  • Design and coordinate the preparation and ongoing review of ATS’ programs, policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure the company meets its legal and regulatory compliance requirements 
  • Draft and review legal and regulatory compliance documentation 
  • Apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for business divisions 
  • Work closely with the VP, Legal & Global Compliance and other senior executives 
  • Interact with internal and external auditors on matters related to audits of the organization’s compliance programs and internal controls 
  • Establish self-audit and compliance monitoring programs 
  • Prepare internal and external regulatory reports and other related documentation 
  • Coordinate rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives when required 
  • Support M&A activity from a compliance perspective, including due diligence and integration efforts



A post-secondary degree or diploma in Law, Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or relevant field



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Compliance Manager or Specialist, Paralegal, Law Clerk, or related position
  • Experience in the areas of data protection and trade compliance preferred
  • Strong understanding of business technologies and their impact on control practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry best practices relevant to the business and the compliance function
  • An analytical and focused mindset with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions to complex control, financial or technical issues
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills
  • Outstanding writing and communication skills, with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Superior organization skills with the ability to pivot as requirements, deadline, or priorities change
