General Labourer

 

Major Duties

Assist with the operational requirements of the assembly department.

Job Description

  • Use basic hand tools (allen keys, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.) as well as hand operated power tools (drill and drivers) to complete tasks assigned.
  • Take direction and assist with moving parts with a forklift or pallet jack to deliver components in a timely manner.
  • Safe operation of Overhead Crane and Aerial Work Platform.
  • Organize and manage customer parts required to operate automated systems. 
  • Assist with maintenance duties to repair or replace equipment as required.
  • Take direction and complete tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain work area to internal cleanliness standards.
  • Alerts supervisory staff, Engineering and/or Quality department of any noticeable changes or problems with component parts. 
  • As required, package assemblies or component parts.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisory staff or the production manager.  
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with ATS code of business conduct.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed in accordance to the ATS Confidentiality Policy.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience:

  • Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are essential. 
  • Good reading, writing and communication skills are an asset.  
  • Must be capable of understanding and following quality systems documentation.

 

Applicants may be required to complete a third party administered test in order to qualify for this position.
