Health and Safety Administrator (6 month contract)

 

Job Description

Role Description:

•    Support divisional requirements for COVID Prevention and employee concerns including PPE, Sanitation, posters, and communications.
•    Maintain divisional requirements for Safety Observation program and Velocity EHS system reports, scheduling and data management.
•    Support Divisional Joint Health and Safety Committee program and members.  Maintain divisional JHSC Workplace Inspections and Monthly JHSC Meetings for cLS, REM, LMT and Kingston
•    Champion HSE Corrective Action documentation and resolution process
•    Support Control of Hazardous Energy Training and Practical Lockout Workshops
•    Support HR in managing HSE Training Requirements, sessions, attendance, evaluations, and invoices when requested. Support HSE Orientation sessions.
•    Provide assistance with ergonomic assessments, purchasing, and PPE
•    Assist with SharePoint MSDS chemical database and WHMIS labelling.
•    Monitor Hazardous Waste accumulation and coordinate with Facilities team.
•    Maintain environmental reporting and prevention metrics for the waste diversion program, including annual waste audits and monthly diversion and disposal data.
•    Maintain first aid rooms, stations, AEDs, and emergency preparedness equipment.
•    Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
•    Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years H&S or related coursework at undergraduate or college level
  • Work experience in manufacturing
