Human Resources Coordinator

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Responsible for assigned HR tasks in support of the Industrial Automation Cambridge division.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the co-op/entry level position recruitment process:
  • Work with business leaders and HR Business to establish requirements
  • Facilitate and conduct interviews with hiring leaders
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with educational institutions
  • Creation of hire requisitions in HRIS
  • Resume screening
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Phone screening
  • Conducting background and reference checks
  • Developing a talent pipeline for entry-level positions
  • Participation in career fairs and events with local educational institutions.
  • Contractor management:
  • Primary contact for preferred staffing vendor – ongoing contractor requirements
  • Complete supplier contracts as required (MTSAs/SOWs/NDAs)
  • Facilitate contractor hiring and onboarding
  • Maintains MTSA status tracker and renews contracts as required by operations
  • Tracking vendor insurance requirements and expiration dates
  • Supports and facilitates co-op and new hire orientations. Organizes new hire kits for full time and contract hires.
  • Assists with onboarding activities, including monitoring and ensuring completion of new employee training, onboarding checkpoints and required documentation.
  • Supports preparation and completion of immigration requirements and travel related documentation.
  • Creation and maintenance of electronic employee files.
  • Prepare monthly metrics, including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting as required
  • Support internal/ISO quality audit preparation.
  • Assist with campus tours, scheduling and coordination of special events, and with organizing and supporting company-sponsored/employee events
  • Update, organize and file HR documentation and training records. Archive inactive employee files, following Corporate guidelines, on an annual basis.
  • Assist with the ATS Service Award program for employees
  • Compile, maintain and process all incoming department mail

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS code of business conduct.
  • Adhere to ISO departmental procedures
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
  • Perform other support duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree program specializing in human resources.
  • University Degree in a related discipline and/or CHRP designation would be an asset

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication stills - ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and employees, both verbally and in writing.
  • Business acumen and professionalism – maintains confidentiality critical to the Human Resources role.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance in a team-oriented environment.
  • The individual must demonstrate initiative, innovation and have the ability to pick up on tasks quickly.
  • Shows intuition, resourcefulness, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can meet critical deadlines.
