Production Team Lead


Job Description


Coordinates the work of other team members to ensure compliance to the production and quality requirements.  Works with the Supervisor, Engineers and other team members to meet customer requirements and compliance with all daily production requirements. 


•    Ensure personnel are trained to meet job requirements.
•    Read and explain mechanical and electrical drawings related to the assemblies.
•    Effective trouble-shooting and ability to communicate effectively regarding problems that may arise during assembly and final testing.
•    Assist your supervisor/manager in maintaining and updating Project Status at daily/weekly team meetings.
•    Mentors/advises team members regarding safety and best practices.
•    Work with your supervisor/manager to be a positive motivating force within the team.
•    Coordinate work according to the skills and experience of team members assigned.
•    Communicate and be a channel of any constructive or objective ideas that arise; helping to keep the manufacturing standards up-to-date and at the highest level.
•    Ensures checklists, work instructions and final acceptance test plans are followed and completed accurately. 
•    Assist in prototype and pre-production builds.
•    Participates in equipment assembly and coordination of personnel to meet production schedules
•    Works with Engineering and/or customers to address manufacturing and design related issues
•    Adheres to all health and safety rules and procedures.
•    Ensures that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with ATS code of business conduct and ATS Confidentiality Policy.
•    Duties as assigned
•    Conducting transactions and activities in the ERP system.
•    Available to be a customer liaison, including travel as required.



  • Preference given to a technician or technologist diploma in Engineering or; 
  • Mechanical/Electrical skilled trade certification
  • Must have excellent leadership skills
  • Must have mechanical, electrical aptitude
  • Must have excellent communication skills


  • Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Previous Lead role experience an asset
