Quality Associate

Specific Responsibilities

•    Responsible for data collection from automated and manual sources.  This requires the ability import and manipulate electronic data
•    Identify, suggest and implement better/automated approaches to data collection and history file automation.
•    Support calibration process; collect tools, prepare purchase requisitions and track  incoming and outgoing tools. 
•    Compile and manage quality project documentation/History Files (i.e. Document control, recordkeeping, scanning, shipping, indexing etc.).
•    Responsible for tracking, maintaining and uploading supplier documents (i.e. Supplier QMS certificates, Supplier CWB certificates, Supplier next approval required etc.)
•    Works independently on assign project by their supervisor. Status reports shall be provided at least weekly.
•    Responsible for 5S best practices, reporting and communicating to relevant functions on a monthly basis.
•    Maintain the quarantine and office areas and file quality records daily/weekly when required. 
•    Update Daily Management Boards/online portal for assigned areas weekly/monthly as assigned. 
•    Track and report supplier corrective actions and report to the Quality Team Lead monthly.  
•    Maintain positive and good relationships with all functional groups within the Cambridge Systems Division.
•    Perform duties in a safe manner in accordance with company and jurisdictional health and safety policies and procedures.
•    Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
•    Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures.
•    Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tag out methods.
•    Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts. 
•    Report defects in any equipment or protective device.
•    Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks.
•    Attend all required health, safety and environmental training.
•    Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
•    Assist in investigating accidents/incidents if required. 
•    Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures.
•    Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.
•    Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts. 
•    Report defect in any equipment or protective device.
•    Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks.
•    Attend all required health, safety and environmental training.
•    Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor.
•    Assist in investigating accidents/incidents.
•    Other duties as assigned
 

Qualifications

Education:

•    Completed 3 years of College/University or equivalent experience specializing in administration, computers, database and information systems and/or Quality Assurance Program
•    ASQ CQI (an asset)
•    ISO and N299 overview training


Experience:
•    At least 2 years advanced experience with the use of SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•    At least 2 years work experience in a tooling and/or program management environment
•    Knowledge of 5S principles through classroom training and/or work experience
•    At least 2 years’ experience compiling history files or other related files. 
•    Excellent communication and organizational skills.
