Quality Lead

 

Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:

ATS is focused on growing SuperTrak Conveyance’s market leading position and a focus on lean manufacturing operations is critical to our success.  As a core member of the operations team, the Quality Lead will provide direction & guidance regarding quality related activities for APG.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  
•    Lead the development and implementation of the Quality Management System for APG in accordance to ISO 9001-2015 standards
•    Monitor and ensure compliance to ISO policies and procedures
•    Assist in investigation of product/process quality and production issues and help develop and initiate preventative and corrective actions
•    Main point of contact for all customer complaints linked to APG Operations & Production 
•    Responsible for verification and tracking of Process, ISO, RCCA, or SCAR requests
•    Evaluate procedural changes and approve/post document changes
•    Co-ordinate and execute gauge capability studies, MSA’s
•    Ensure deviation process is followed if parts or assemblies do not conform to customer specifications
•    Prepare Control Plans, and support update of Procedures or Checklists as applicable.
•    Participate or lead external audits with vendors
•    Conduct internal product, process, and procedure compliance audits, as appropriate.


Experience:
•    Five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably associated with the medical industry
•    Working knowledge of ISO requirements – 9001-2015
•    Knowledge of SPC (statistical process controls an asset).
•    Knowledge of Blueprint Reading and basic GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing).
•    Must be able to use measuring equipment such as Vernier / Micrometers, Optical Comparator, etc.
•    Must possess excellent communication skills
•    Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office necessary.
•    Training in GDP and GMP


Education:

•    Post-secondary graduate with an Engineering, Technologist or Quality designation. 
•    Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles & continuous improvement
