Reliability Engineer - Data Analyst

 

Job Description

We are looking for a bright, ambitious Reliability Engineer / Statistician who enjoys data, teamwork, client relationships and on-going challenging projects. As a Reliability Engineer – Data Analyst, you will be a key player in improving the durability and reliability of our automation equipment, you will also develop processes for remote analysis of equipment performance data, Root Cause Analysis, Line Performance optimization support, and other on-site efforts intended to improve the operational performance and reliability of the customer’s assets. You will be responsible for recommending customer spare parts inventory levels based on equipment reliability, usage projections, and risk profiles. You will also be responsible for supporting business development activities including service solution scoping, cost commitments, proposal documents, and resource planning for reliability services opportunities.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reliability Engineering Data Analysis:
•    Develop and maintain database component reliability data, including part specific actual and expected failure rates, recommended maintenance activities and schedules, part classifications and part interchangeability / obsolescence data.
•    Leverage ATS Illuminate™ OEE and Asset Management software to create processes to analyze asset failure data to determine opportunities to improve OEE, need for adjustments in MRO inventory, planned maintenance frequencies, and equipment design.
•    Use statistical methods and reliability modeling to generate insights that determine optimized equipment maintenance strategies based on cost of process downtime, cost of direct maintenance, MTBF, MTTR, EHS, safety, and other key metrics.
•    Review and validate maintenance tasks to mitigate risk of equipment failure. 
•    Liaison between the design, build, validation team and service groups in-depth knowledge of design and failure modes
•    Analyze history of in-service failures and propose improvements to the design/validation process 
 

Qualifications

•    A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Statistics or equivalent related experience. 
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data modeling role related to Reliability Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering.
•    Understanding of Preventive / Predictive Maintenance technologies, strategies, and the ability to develop and implement sustainable systems.
•    Must have in-depth working knowledge of Risk-Based analysis tools such as Criticality Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and Failure Modes Effect Analysis
•    Strong data base (Excel) and statistical analysis capability.
•    Thorough knowledge of Technical Drawings /Blue Prints, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
•    Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or Certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
•    Experience working with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs preferred.
•    Understanding of Bill of Materials, Critical Spares, and Asset Hierarchy and how each impacts the optimization of asset maintenance systems.
•    Working knowledge of SAP, MAXIMO, MP2, or similar CMMS /EAM software is a plus.
•    Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles mechanical systems.
•    Good oral, written, and presentation skills, ability to work with and motivate team members
•    Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project
•    Hands-on experience in manufacturing, machine debug, and root cause failure analysis
•    Willing to travel up to 25% (Domestic and International travel is possible.)
