Sales & Operations Planning Leader



The Sales and Operations Planning Leader will be responsible for running the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process for Industrial Automation globally.  The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing capacity and demand forecasts and ensuring optimal use of resources across the Industrial Automation business.




  • Run the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process through its monthly cycle, including preparing and leading the monthly executive review
  • Review and analyze the forecast demand versus actual demand, understanding changes and trends over time
  • Consolidate divisional loading into IA group level view
  • Interface with 6 global sites/divisions to understand their resource loading process and standardize outputs
  • Share and promote best practices across the divisions and segment
  • Monitor capacity expansion and contraction plans across IA and help resolve constraints
  • Work with finance to align our operational planning with financial forecasting
  • Working with sales, Analyze and upload timely and accurate periods of rolling 18-month forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions and stakeholders
  • Leverage ABM to create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and S&OP processes
  • Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics
  • Develop capacity simulation processes to run sensitivity analysis for growth
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.



  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
  • Hold team members accountable for health, safety and environmental compliance as part of the annual performance review process.
  • Ensure that the requirements of the health, safety and environment management system are implemented and maintained.
  • Carry out hazard assessments, inspections, and audits as required by legislative framework and/or corporate requirements.
  • Ensure that training is provided to all departmental employees are per established in the training matrix.
  • Implement appropriate corrective measures for unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
  • Ensure that appropriate equipment, materials and protective devices are provided and maintained in safe condition.
  • Provide information, instruction and supervision to employees.
  • Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of employees.
  • Attend HSE Due Diligence for Management training sessions.





  • A post-secondary technology diploma or equivalent, specializing in business administration, operations management or equivalent.



  • At least 3+ years’ experience in data mining and analysis in a global organization  
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to influence across stakeholder groups
