Senior HRIS Analyst

Job Description

 

Position Title: Senior HRIS Analyst (SuccessFactors)
Department: Corporate Human Resources
Reports To: Director, Total Rewards

 

Job Summary:

As Senior HRIS Analyst within the shared Human Resources team, you will contribute to the success of overall global HR strategy through your insights, research, workforce analytics, data collection and establishment of best practices. 

 

The right candidate will have first-hand experience and knowledge of how to architect data in HRIS platforms. As new HR technology, modules and data requirements are identified, the Senior HRIS Analyst will be the bridge between business needs and technical implementation - helping HR make informed choices and decisions before bringing requirements to the IT team. 
 

Job Responsibilities

 

Data Analytics & Data Integrity 

  • Advise HR on data systems, database, data relationships and HR technology
  • Prepare research, analytics, training and recommendations to support both HR and business to facilitate data-driven decision-making
  • Demonstrate solid analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to draw results and implications from multiple data sources, provide recommendations and contribute to team decisions 
  • Understand and advise on our suite of current and future reports and dashboards to provide the HR team and business leaders with real-time analytics and insight into the current workforce
  • Conduct advanced analytics and perform data modeling/collection on specific HR metrics such as retention, turnover and internal transfer rates to identify risk, trends and patterns
  • Prepare clear and succinct reports and visuals that displays trends and statistics to support internal clients and employees upon request
  • Enable global HR teams to maintain data integrity and overall function in collaboration with IT and other stakeholders of our HRIS System (SuccessFactors Employee Central)

 

Project Coordination & Implementation:

  • Lead various HR initiatives, projects and process improvements using project management tools such as project discovery & scoping, project charters, detailed project plan/schedules, lessons learned and status meetings
  • Develop and participate in design and delivery of HR tools
  • Prepare HR Business Requirements Documentation by gathering information and data and forming recommendations and actionable items
  • Manage, track and deliver SuccessFactors projects, releases, maintenance and upgrades
     

Qualifications

 

Education:

  • Post-Secondary Degree / Diploma in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics or similar field required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or working towards considered an asset

 

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience with HR data analytics, metrics, dashboards and reporting
  • 5 years of experience configuring and implementing enterprise wide HRIS (with at least 2 consecutive years within one organization); Experience working with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central considered a major asset
  • 5 years of experience coordinating projects and gathering business requirements using best-in-class tools
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; other data visualization software experience considered an asset
  • Experience and willingness to work in a large, complex and global environment where responsibilities and priorities may shift according to business needs
  • Highly resilient, comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can calmly navigate change
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with a passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling skills with the ability to not only manipulate and summarize data, but also derive meaningful interpretations from data and ability to articulate in a simple and impactful way to a non-technical audience
  • Exposure to acquisitions and high-grown organizations considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion – and handle sensitive information
