Embedded Service Technician - Denver, Colorado

Job Description

 

Serve as our Denver, CO customer's on-site, main point of contact (POC) and subject matter expert (SME) on all day-to-day machine functions for the duration of the contract (6 months, with opportunity for renewal). The goal of this role during the embedded contract is to help the customer achieve OEE targets, and provide a continuous transfer of knowledge. The incumbent will transition to a full-time Field Technician upon completion of the contract commitment, requiring both Domestic and International travel.

 

Responsibilities

  • Embedded in the build team at the Rolling Meadows facility for 9 months to develop subject matter expertise
  • Conduct customer training onsite at the Rolling Meadows facility during the build phase
  • During the build cycle, assemble all aspects of  machine or multi-system
  • Continuous knowledge transfer/training to customer
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Operate machinery and to analyze malfunctions
  • Record changes to machine parts and assemblies on engineering drawings
  • Supervise workers in testing & adjusting equipment to for performance
  • Advise management on customer satisfaction & product performance
  • Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues
  • Make recommendations to repair/replace items as needed

Additional Information

 

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in controls programming, mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience in a hands-on mechanical/electrical environment  
  • Strong communication skills, ability to build and maintain relationships, Customer-Centric
  • Experience with customer resolutions
  • Ability to read drawings, reference manuals & assembly systems instructions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Valid U.S. Passport
