Job Description



The expeditor is responsible for ensuring that the business has the supplies and inventory it needs to function according to schedule. Duties include communicating with suppliers about the status of supplies, problem-solving to reduce the impact of late shipments and submitting purchase orders to vendors. 





  • Be conscious of manufacturing schedules and extra-ordinary items on order
  • Expedite all purchased items prior to expected due date
  • Notify Buyer / Supervisor of any PO discrepancies between ATS and the vendor
  • Revise PO due dates in JD Edwards if approved by PM/Supervisor/Buyer
  • Notify Supervisor of order(s) that are consistently late, so action can be taken
  • Print and post and "Open Order Report" daily AM for the assembly floor
  • Log vendor non-conformance reports for consistent problems with vendors
  • Resolve packing slip discrepancies for the Receiving Department
  • Comply with all company and department ISO operating procedures
  • Quoting spares pricing to customers upon request





  • 2+ years of work experience in a similar role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Proficient understanding of materials and services procurement
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient people skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills
