Inside Sales Job Overview

ATS Industrial Automation, which includes Mobility, Nuclear, and Specialty Automation, is focused on growing sales and marketing teams.  As the Inside Sales Manager, you will be a crucial member to develops sales opportunities that will positively grow the business. Your role will be researching and validating potential accounts, connecting with customers to develop them into market-qualified leads. You will work closely with our marketing team and sales account managers to help develop new opportunities.

 

Our industry focus for ATS Industrial Automation is the growing automation, robotics and material handling in:

Mobility – Automotive EV Battery Assembly

Nuclear – Operations, Fuel and Decommissioning

Specialty Automation – Electronics, Consumer Product Goods (CPG), Packaging, Warehouse Automation.

 

As the Inside Sales Manager, you will work directly with the VP of Marketing and VP of Sales for each customer segment. As a Inside Sales Manager, you must complete the entire sales process from the first outreach and facilitate communications until the first meeting with an account representative customer. You will help us develop personas and identify high level customer challenges, and work with customers with the mutual goal to facilitate a meeting with a sales account manager. You must be a critical thinker with strong communications skills to gain insights into the clients' challenges and align them to potential solutions with sales.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop sales leads to market qualified leads by understanding and interpreting customer requirements, providing information, and developing accounts.
  • Validate sales opportunities by researching customers' accounts and history, building rapport, providing information and explanations, and help organize that first critical meeting.
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on potential leads.
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers
  • Maintains communication with the potential client and sales manager.
  • Maintains and improves persona development.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in sales and marketing (Asset with a technical background)
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or communications
  • Understanding of salesforce.com.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Time management and presentation skills
  • Experience with marketing in international markets is a plus
  • Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
