Manufacturing Coordinator

The Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for performing administrative and clerical tasks to support the organization's daily manufacturing operations. One of the main responsibilities will be resource planning; a systematic process to achieve the optimum use of an organization's time and people. The Resource Planner is used to create and maintain stability between projects, tasks, teams, time and budget.  



  • Coordinate, manage, and publish the  Assembly Resource Planner.
  • Verify accuracy of data pertaining to delivery dates, sales orders and service orders.
  • Elevate problems or issues that may impact Assembly or Customer delivery.
  • Update weekly Project and Apprentice Tracker.
  • Assist with weekly updating Individual Metrics Planner.
  • Track, collect, and analyze data when needed to accomplish the essential functions of Resource Planner.
  • Coordinate Assembly Department level events with the Assembly leadership team:
    • Schedule and coordinate department-level communication meetings.
    • Organize planning of events to preclude conflicts and streamline operational effectiveness.
    • Monitor and track meeting participation to metric leadership time spent in meetings and other non-value added events.
    • Schedule and ensure compliance with required production and safety training.
    • Participate in daily production schedule meetings to ensure the Resource Planner is in sync with schedules.
    • Schedule quarterly 1-on-1 employee meetings with all department employees.
    • Coordinate support and coverage for paid-time off (PTO) periods.
    • Update department calendar with birthdays, anniversaries, and other critical employee
    • information and dates.
    • Coordinate department participation for all major events within expected budget and schedule constraints with communication to all participants a minimum of 30 days in advance to all employees even if all details are not known for the event e.g., Employee Engagement Surveys, Quarterly Town Hall meetings, Departmental monthly communication meetings, Training events, etc.
  • Supports the enforcement of company policies and standards.
  • Source and screen potential employee and contractor candidates.
  • Assist in new hire onboarding process by managing the paperwork involved in sourcing, screening and onboarding candidates. 
  • Ensure all pre-start activities are complete by Work Center Managers 
  • Verify all documentation completed and submitted to HR for entry into the employee files.
    • Provide tours of the manufacturing floor.
    • Adhere to ISO standards and documentation for department.



  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Experience in manufacturing and assembly desired
  • Proficient in typing skills (50 wpm minimum)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Word
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Effective verbal, written, and communication skills


  • The employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
  • Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently. 
  • Visual Acuity – Normal requirements for reading written instructions and computer screens
  • Hearing Ability – Normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions. 
  • Working Conditions – The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting manufacturing floor. 
  • Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods of time.
