Basic responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment at customer facilities.
- Make recommendations to customers for items that require repair/replacement.
- Travel approximately 75% to domestic and international customer locations.
- Troubleshoot and support customer issues and needs by phone, email and web video meetings.
- Be available for on call support on a rotational basis.
- Assist with other technical projects as required.
Education:
A High School diploma or a GED and/or TMA (Tooling & Manufacturing Association) or Tool and Die training or Electrician license/certification.
Experience:
- Three to six years of Field Service experience in a hands-on mechanical/electrical environment.
- Familiarity with and ability to use hand tools, voltage/pressure meters, measuring gauges and devices.
- Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined manufacturing and engineering environments, often under pressure-filled conditions.
- Must have experience in dealing with customers to resolve problems.
- The ability to read drawings, reference manuals and assembly systems instruction guides is essential.
- Must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and commercial skills.
- Electrician certification and license a big plus (high/low voltage.
- PLC/Controls experience a plus.
- Travel experience a plus.
