HR Generalist w/travel coordination

We have a unique opportunity for a role as a HR Generalist with experience in coordinating travel.  The hybrid HR Generalist/Travel Coordinator is responsible for recruitment and employee relations support while arranging business travel for employees when necessary. NOTE:  This is not a fully remote position.  It is possible after 6 months to work from home 1-2 days but the position is on site.



  • Coordinate recruitment and manage recruitment process.  Review and source resumes, screen potential candidates, conduct reference checks.
  • Generate new hire paperwork (training checklists, training plan, benefits enrollment forms).  Assist with new hire orientation/onboarding.
  • Co-manage contractor process with hiring manager for approvals, training, safety, and records.
  • Assist employees with general questions about benefits, timekeeping, compensation, etc.
  • Identify the most cost-effective and efficient travel arrangements and making necessary reservations for accommodations, following company policies and approval processes.
  • Serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel-related issues; assist employees with travel-related issues or concerns.
  • Prepare travel itineraries and distribute travel arrangements and schedules to all appropriate staff.
  • Support travelers with any issues (may occur outside of business hours).



  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management (HRM) or a post-secondary degree specializing in human resources or equivalent experience with certification required.
  • Travel booking experience in a fast-paced environment.  Experience with Concur or similar travel software highly preferred.



  • he employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
  • Visual acuity – Normal requirements for reading written instructions and computer screens.
  • Hearing ability – Normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions.
  • Working conditions – The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting manufacturing floor.
  • Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods of time.
