Site Lead


The Site Leader coordinates build and installation at ATS and/or at customer facilities. We're looking for a professional, self-motivated team leader who can guide and mentor our equipment assembly team. The successful candidate will also be required to assemble equipment as needed. As a member of a project team, you’ll work alongside our Applications, Mechanical, and Build teams to design, build, program, and deploy custom automated equipment and solutions for General Assembly tooling and processes.  

This position is based in Spring Hill, TN with an initial 6-8 week project based in Lewis Center, OH.  


  • Provide effective supervision and coaching to assigned technical employees to achieve the required quality and service output goals. Maintain appropriate shop records and inventories. 
  • Manage the smooth flow of work through the service center.  
  • Collect all necessary documentation prior to the start of the installation (layout, mech. detail drawings, controls drawings). 
  • Visit customer sites to ensure there are no problems with the installation of our equipment.  
  • Raise concerns up front to assembly supervisor and or the installation Manager/Supervisor. 
  • Adhere to the installation schedule and raise concerns about timing problems and submit concerns to PM and the installation Manager/Supervisor. 
  • Review all materials and manpower required; raise concerns as early as possible to the PM and the installation Manager/Supervisor.  
  • Participates in continuous improvement. 
  • Provide effective daily communication in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals. Communicate to employees all issues that affect the service center and overall service organization. 
  • Monitor training needs/requirements of the team and individuals and coordinate training as required in partnership with training team resources. 
  • Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the service center's safety program. 
  • Serve as the process leader for shop activities, ensuring work standards are defined and systemically improved with input from service technicians and the rest of the service center team. 


  • Prior leadership experience in a service-focused industry. 
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams and managing a diverse group of roles and responsibilities. 
  • 3+ years of experience leading field, technical repair, or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with strong customer facing responsibilities.   
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, & Excel. 
  • Ability to read, speak, write, & understand English in a professional manner. 
  • Strong initiative, innovative, and keen attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; Experience working with customers to resolve problems. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel 60%. 
  • Must be eligible and able to travel domestically & internationally within 30 days from hire date and legally eligible to operate a vehicle, as this is an essential job function.

  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tag out methods. 
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts. 
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device. 
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks. 
  • Attend all required health, safety, and environmental training. 
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor. 
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents. 
  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct.
