Global Director, Mobility & Specialty Automation - After Sales Services

Job Description

The Global Director, Mobility & Specialty Automation - After Sales Services is responsible for developing, coordinating, communicating, executing, and sustaining the global Mobility & Specialty Automation Service strategic initiatives across all IA sites and regions. She/he will accelerate the Mobility & Specialty Automation Services’ performance through strategy planning and execution of commercial and operational objectives, organizational alignment, and the integration of Standard Service Products in the ATS Mobility & Specialty Automation product offering.  In addition, the Global Director, Mobility & Specialty Automation - After Sales Services is responsible for aligning Mobility & Specialty Automation Service strategy with the overall ATS Service Strategy. 

•    Leads the development of the strategic plan for Mobility & Specialty Automation Services, and the detailed current year operating plan in coordination and in alignment with Mobility & Specialty Automation and Global Service objectives. This includes formalizing and leading the strategic planning process, focusing on long term trends and outlook, and competitive intelligence.
•    Defines products, including price positioning attractive to the relevant market segments.
•    Developing footprint/concept of operations in the relevant regions for the defined market segments.
•    Proactively engage with core customers on a consultative basis to build relationships, generate needs assessment and appetite for ATS Standards Service Products.
•    Ensures that appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress towards strategic goals.
•    Engages external business and industry experts and resources to learn and influence business strategies, develop new opportunities, understand competitive landscape, global marketplace, and external business environment.
•    Oversees the development and implementation of a Mobility & Specialty Automation Service knowledge management infrastructure and leads in the management of organizational knowledge as a strategic asset to further the organization’s goals.
•    Leads the deployment and advocates for the adoption of digital service that drive value and improve customer experience
•    Develop specific value propositions, marketing content and presentation materials to support the Mobility & Specialty Automation Services Strategy

Additional Information


A post-secondary diploma or degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business management or marketing, MBA preferred.

•    A minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic planning coupled with proven execution excellence.
•    Experience rebuilding a business from the ground up.
•    Experience redefining the rules of the games within automotive based on attractive products with quantified benefits.
•    Experience driving repeated above industry average growth rates. 
•    Work experience should include success in a period of growth and/or transition.
•    Specific knowledge and experience in Mobility and/or Specialty Automation industry is required.
•    Proven track record with strategy planning, development, and execution.
•    Work experience in digital transformation is an asset
•    Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners, suppliers and customers
•    Strong executive presence, presentation, and communication skills.
•    Demonstrated experience in implementing VOC metrics
•    Formal goal deployment experience, having successfully executed goal deployment within a matrix environment
