Position Summary

We are seeking a Field Service Controls Engineer to provide technical service and support for Comecer equipment across North America, with a focus on controls systems including Siemens and Rockwell PLC/HMI platforms. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting, remote support, and customer relationship management, while also contributing to commercial activities such as service agreements and spare parts sales.


Key Responsibilities:

Field Service

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Comecer industrial equipment at customer sites across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Provide remote technical support (Help Desk Level 1 & 2) via phone and online platforms.
  • Use internal FUSION software to manage service tickets and documentation.
  • Execute service visits based on instructions from the Service Planner; create work reports and update records.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and clearly communicate solutions to customers.
  • Provide expert support for controls-related issues, especially Siemens and Rockwell PLC/HMI systems.

Commercial Support

  • Ship/receive customer orders, stock shipments, and installation equipment.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and proactively adjust stock levels.
  • Organize and maintain technical documentation and user manuals.
  • Promote and negotiate maintenance packages, service contracts, and spare parts kits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Represent Comecer and ATS brands professionally and proactively.

Industries You’ll Support

  • Radiopharma: Hot cells, dispensing modules, sterility testing isolators, VPHP sterilization systems.
  • Pharma: Aseptic filling, potent API isolators, sterility testing, ATEX isolators, Baby Phill small batch fillers.
  • Cell & Gene Therapy (ATMP): Modular cell culture isolators, FlexyCult™ incubation systems, ValueCell Fill.

Qualifications:

  • Industrial Technical diploma (Mechanical/Electrical emphasis) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with Siemens and Rockwell PLC/HMI programming and debugging.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate tools and interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with automation systems and customer-facing technical support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be legally eligible to travel and operate a vehicle.
