Field Service Engineer

Location: Greater Indianapolis Area (Remote)

Travel Requirement: Up to 50%

Hourly Rate Range: $35.00 - $45.00

As a Field Service Engineer, you won’t just fix equipment—you’ll be a trusted technical partner to some of the most advanced scientific organizations in the world.


What You’ll Be Working On

You’ll support, install, and maintain some of the most sophisticated equipment used in regulated environments, including:

Radiopharma Systems

  • Shielded hot cells and automated synthesis & dispensing modules
  • Vial and syringe filling systems
  • Shielded LAF and sterility testing isolators
  • VPHP sterilization generators and modules
  • Dose calibrators and solid target processing systems

Pharma & Biotech Systems

  • Aseptic filling systems for liquid & powder APIs
  • Potent API (PAPI) and ATEX isolators
  • Modular Sterility Testing Isolators (MSTI)
  • Baby Phill™ small-batch vial filling systems
  • Fully automated RTU vial, syringe, and cartridge filling lines
  • SuperTrak™ Pharma Flow Fillers & Speedy Glove™ technology

Cell & Gene Therapy (ATMP) Solutions

  • Modular Cell Culture Isolators (MCCI)
  • FlexyCult™ incubation systems
  • ValueCell Fill platforms

Your Impact

Field Service & Technical Excellence

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Comecer equipment at customer sites across the U.S. and Canada
  • Provide remote Level 1 & 2 technical support via phone and online help desk
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, leak testing, and filter replacements
  • Execute Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and participate in IQ/OQ/PQ activities
  • Clearly explain diagnoses and repairs to customers with professionalism and confidence
  • Document service activities using FUSION service management software

Commercial & Customer Partnership

  • Support the growth of after‑sales service offerings, including maintenance agreements, upgrades, and spare parts
  • Manage spare parts, consumables, and inventory to ensure customer uptime
  • Assist in negotiating service contracts and maintenance packages
  • Organize and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and spare parts lists
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams—representing both Comecer and ATS brands

Growth & Development

  • Participate in ongoing technical and product training
  • Collaborate across engineering, sales, and service planning teams
  • Expand your professional network within advanced therapy and pharmaceutical manufacturing

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of industrial technical experience (Mechanical/Electrical diploma or equivalent)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience working with automation systems and control interfaces
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
  • Proven customer‑facing experience in time‑critical, regulated environments
  • A continuous improvement mindset with experience in root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal)
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and resilience under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Travel Requirements

  • Eligible to travel domestically and internationally within 30 days of hire
  • Legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle (essential job function)
