Electrician

Job Description

Perform electrical build, debug, testing, and installation of industrial electrical/mechanical components in accordance to customer and project specification in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

    Complete daily activities as assigned.
    Report daily progress of assigned activities. 
    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
    Participate in installation activities of electrical/mechanical projects, applying knowledge of electrical codes and procedures while adhering to customer and project specification.
    Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
    Complete all required training in a timely manner.
    Report any unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
    Ensure that appropriate equipment, materials, and protective devices are used and maintained in safe condition.
    Maintain housekeeping standards in shop and field work areas.
    Assist in the installation of electrical conduit and cable tray of various types (EMT, RIGID, Flex, etc.).
    Painting as required.
    Pulling wire.
    Safely operate hand tools (screwdrivers, hacksaws, pliers, measuring tools, etc.).
    Safely operate power tools (drill, grinder, reciprocating saw, conduit threader, etc.).
    Safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, man lift, etc.).
    Electrical panel assembly, wiring, and installation.
    Tagging and labeling of wires, cables, devices, and enclosures.
    Perform manual labor as necessary.
    Travel to customer sites as required by project.
    Work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by project.
 

Experience & Education

    HS Diploma or equivalent vocational training
    AS in technical field preferred
    Three to seven years of related experience 
 

Health & Safety

    Work in compliance with divisional health, safety, and environmental procedures
    Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
    Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts 
    Report defect in any equipment or protective device
    Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
    Attend all required health, safety, and environmental training
    Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
    Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
    Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct
