Overview:

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of strategic Human Resources plans that support the overall business direction.  Champion the onboarding process by ensuring that it's high-quality and up to date and provide clarity and connection for employees so their roles serve the overall business vision.  Design and implement employee retention strategies by promoting a respectful work environment and building key relationships with leadership and employees.

Essential Job Functions:

•    Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing.
•    Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
•    Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
•    Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.
•    Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
•    Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team.
•    Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
•    Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
•    Maintain HR systems and processes; including but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance/talent management, HR reporting, multiple HR systems, and compliance.
•    Development and continuous improvement of HR policies / processes / tools and support of future M&As (due diligence as well as integration).
•    Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Finance, HSE, IT, Payroll Shared Services, Benefits, Global HR, and local authorities).  
•    Manage and develop one Talent Acquisition Specialist
•    Work closely with Operations and Finance to drive company culture and related changes.
•    Lead/support HR Initiatives for the cluster (e.g., job architecture, employee engagement survey, SkillSoft).
•    Manages HSE requirements for the division.
•    Regular reporting of HR KPIs and proactively drive solutions for identified priorities.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in business management or related field and seven years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Specific knowledge and experience in US Employment law and payroll requirements for multiple states.  
•    Ability to learn employment and payroll law for Canada and Puerto Rico.
•    Proven ability to negotiate and influence the leadership team.
•    Strong experience in document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Teams. Microsoft Suite).
•    Customer-oriented, must be a patient individual and result-driven always striving to achieve set goals and targets, able to deal with difficult situations, self-motivated, and have ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and meet tight deadlines.
•    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
•    Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
•    Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; or as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Master’s Degree in business or related field
•    SPHR or other certification
•    Experience with building a Human Resources department.
•    Experience with international assignments and immigration.
•    Experience with Canada and Puerto Rico employment law and payroll requirements.
•    Experience with change management.
•    SuccessFactors, Time & Attendance, and ADP experience.
•    Bi-lingual in Spanish, French, or German

Responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment:

•    Work in compliance with divisional health, safety, and environmental procedures.
•    Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.
•    Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts. 
•    Report defects in any equipment or protective device.
•    Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks.
•    Attend all required health, safety, and environmental training as required.
•    Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor.
•    Assist in investigating accidents/incidents.
•    Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct.
