Division Controller (m/f/d)


We are looking for an organized and assertive Finance Business Partner who thinks outside the box offering the opportunity to shape and define process while supporting our Director Automation DACH and Director Di&So as well as the Project Manager. Tasks & Responsibilities


Business Review

  • Proactively support Directors regarding driving the financial and operational performance
  • Determination of all relevant key performance indicators on division and department level
  • Providing Variance Analysis on Division Level
  • Forecasting of core value drivers (revenues, gross profit/margin, bookings/incoming orders)
  • Preparation of business review documents and analyses
  • Calculation of hourly rates for assigned Division
  • Support the Directors during budgeting process

Project Review

  • Monitor and report project KPIs
  • Holding monthly project reviews to ensure projects evolve according to expectations
  • Preparation of project status reports
  • Identification of risks and definition of mitigation strategies in alignment with project manager

Bid Approval

  • Review of customer bids to ensure correctly hourly rates are used and the target margin is met
  • Steer the bid approval process from a financial perspective

Special Tasks

  • Ad-hoc-analysis upon request
  • Enhancement of controlling processes, tools and documentation
  • Support in S4/HANA implementation projects
  • Support in the implementation of Corporate Mergers and M&A projects



  • Fluent in English and German

  • University degree in finance, accounting, or business administration

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in project controlling experience (including PoC evaluations)

  • High data affinity and experience in data analysis, preferably with relational databases

  • Strong analytical approach and the ability to take initiative and to complete multiple tasks even within tight deadlines

  • Customer-focused mindset and willingness to go the extra mile 

  • Open to new challenges and eager to learn new methods and tools and to share knowledge
