Responsible for providing reliable, fair, accurate, relevant, timing and actionable financial information to all stakeholders. Accountable for all financial reporting and budgeting processes for a multiple location division. The Controller is responsible for the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance as aligned to both Corporate and Government regulations.
•    Plan, organize, direct and control, the financial reporting, accounting, project controls, and general financial affairs of the division
•    Ensure policies, procedures, and that the financial reporting standards are applied consistently
•    Review and assess business risk and recommends strategies/policies to mitigate it.
•    Adherence to the internal control’s memorandum, a document outlining the operational controls in place
•    Per schedule prepare divisional results and explain them accurately with variances explained, risk identified, and mitigation plans 
•    Ensuring that financial reporting is in accordance with US and IFRS GAAP
•    Preparing audit documents on a quarterly basis, ensuring that all accounts are reconciled
•    Develop and/or prepare specific financial analysis as assigned by Sr. for the effective management of the division and interpretation of results
•    Coordinate the filing of all necessary government reports and returns
•    Liaison with professional advisors on legal, audit and accounting matters as required
•    Prepare budgets, forecasts and long-term plans as required with business risks identified  
•    Work with Executive Team to develop strategic plans for the division
•    Identify corporate-wide cost savings/efficiency 0pportunities
•    Strong analytical, financial, and accounting skills as well as an ability to significantly contribute to division management 
•    Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team in an intentional, focused, respectful, and highly engaged manner 
Education and Experience:
•    University degree in Finance or Accounting
•    CPA and/or MBA Preferred
•    A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a Manufacturing  environment
•    Three plus years in a Sr. Financial role
•    Five years’ experience with project controlling
•    Previous experience with ERP implementations and Hyperion reporting

    Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environment compliance
    Hold team members accountable for health, safety and environmental compliance as part of the annual performance review process
    Ensure that the requirements of the health, safety and environment management system are implemented and maintained
    Carry out hazard assessments, inspections, and audits as required by legislative framework and/or corporate requirements
    Ensure that training is provided to all departmental employees are per established training matrix
    Implement appropriate corrective measures for unsafe conditions and unsafe acts
    Ensure that appropriate equipment, materials and protective devices are provided and maintained in safe condition
    Provide information, instruction and supervision to employees 
    Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of employees
