Job Description

Required Duties

Must be able to work in a professional engineering team-based environment. Application Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing and simulating of automated systems for customer applications and processes. These concepts and simulations are required to develop a most cost effective, and specification compliant solution. 

    Customer specification review
    Detailed system simulation
    Product flow simulation
    Process validation    
    Reach studies and layout validation 
    Risk assessments
    Cycle time validation 
    Throughput calculation and validation
    Equipment selection 
    Technical consultation
    Cost estimating
    Technical proposal development
    Various research of equipment and processes.

Additional Information

Experience Required:

    Three to seven years of experience is similar role.  

Education:

    Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or automation     field (Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent)

Responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:

    Work in compliance with divisional health, safety, and environmental procedures
    Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
    Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts 
    Report defect in any equipment or protective device
    Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
    Attend all required health, safety, and environmental training
    Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
    Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
    Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct
