Accounts Payable Analyst

Job Summary

The Process Associate – Accounts Payable is responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable function through accurate and timely review, validation, and system processing of invoices. This role is primarily transactional in nature and focuses on ensuring invoice data is complete, compliant, and correctly transferred into the Accounts Payable system.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal requirements prior to processing.
  • Validate invoice data including vendor details, invoice amounts, dates, coding, and purchase order references where applicable.
  • Upload, index, and process invoices accurately into the Accounts Payable system in accordance with established procedures.
  • Identify missing information, errors, or exceptions and escalate to senior AP team members as required.
  • Ensure processing timelines and accuracy targets are met in line with service level expectations.
  • Provide transactional support to the broader Accounts Payable team during vacation coverage, sick leave, or peak processing periods.
  • Support other routine AP processing activities under supervision, including backlog management and data clean-up as required.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation within the AP systemAdhere to internal controls, policies, and segregation of duties requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and support updates to standard operating procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or finance shared services.
  • Previous accounts payable experience in a manufacturing environment considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience with JD Edwards and/or Tungsten considered an asset.
  • Comfortable working both independently and supporting the larger Accounts Payable team as a contributing member.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups of both internal and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic Microsoft Office Applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
