Analyst - Total Rewards
Job Summary
The Total Rewards Analyst will support Compensation & Benefits operations across Canada and the US by providing strong backend analytical and administrative support to the Total Rewards team. This is primarily an internal support role focused on compensation analytics, reporting, auditing, and operational coordination activities. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working extensively with Excel and compensation-related data in a decentralized and complex organizational environment.
Responsibilities
- Support compensation planning and salary review activities.
- Prepare, maintain, and validate compensation reports and data files.
- Perform audits and quality checks on compensation-related data and spreadsheets.
- Work extensively in Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management activities.
- Coordinate invoices and allocate costs across business segments.
- Support bonus planning and salary planning processes.
- Assist team members with analyst-level operational and administrative tasks.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of compensation and HR-related data.
- Support reporting and analytics requirements for the Compensation & Benefits team.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of Total Rewards processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive compensation information.
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Compensation, Benefits, Total Rewards, HR Analytics, or related HR operations.
- Advanced Excel skills are critical, including strong experience working with large spreadsheets, formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
- Good organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
- Ability to independently manage analytical and administrative work.
- Comfortable working in a decentralized and complex organizational structure.
- Basic understanding of compensation processes, reporting, or HR operations is preferred.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive employee data.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with HR systems and reporting tools is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Certification or coursework in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, or HR Analytics is a plus.
