JD Edwards Business System Analyst - Manufacturing
Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role as the primary liaison between the ATS global IT group and other ATS divisions or departments that utilize enterprise systems or data combining technical acumen, business acuity, and industry knowledge to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our enterprise systems, with a specific focus on JD Edwards manufacturing modules – Product Data Management, Material Planning, Resource and Capacity planning, Work Order Management, Quality Control.
Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (required)

Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, APICS, PMP) are a plus
Required Skills

Operational Support for Oracle JDE 9.2: The analyst provides operational support ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the system. This includes troubleshooting, resolving issues, and optimizing system performance.

Project Participation: Actively participating in the planning, design, development, and deployment of business projects.

Coordination and Collaboration: Bridging the gap between IT management and business end users, the analyst coordinates activities, gathers requirements, and ensures alignment between technology solutions and business needs.

Technical Skills in ERP Configuration: The incumbent possesses strong technical skills related to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. Specifically, they configure and customize JD Edwards modules to meet specific business requirements. Additional knowledge of financial processes/costing, manufacturing workflows, warehouse management/inventory control, and procurement will be advantage.

Industry Best Practices Integration: Beyond technical proficiency, the analyst understands industry best practices. They ensure that these practices are seamlessly integrated into our systems at an appropriate level.
Responsibilities
Business Process Analysis
Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Translate business needs into functional system configurations and enhancements.
System Configuration & Customization
Configure and maintain JDE manufacturing modules. Customize system settings and workflows to meet evolving business requirements while ensuring system integrity and scalability.
Operational Support
Provide daily functional and technical support to JDE users. Resolve system issues, manage service requests, and ensure continuity in manufacturing operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Inventory, and Finance teams to design and implement integrated, cross-functional ERP solutions.
End-User Training & Documentation
Develop and deliver training for JDE users. Create documentation such as SOPs, training manuals, and technical specifications for system functionality and processes.
Data Integrity & Reporting
Maintain data accuracy across manufacturing modules. Design and support operational dashboards and reports for informed, data-driven decision-making.
Project Participation
Contribute to ERP projects from planning through post-implementation. Participate in requirements gathering, functional design, testing, and deployment of system changes.
System Upgrades & Enhancements
Support JDE upgrades, patches, and regression testing. Recommend and implement best practices to enhance system usability and performance.
Best Practices & Compliance
Ensure alignment with industry standards for ERP systems and manufacturing processes. Adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance protocols.
Vendor & IT Liaison
Coordinate with IT teams and external vendors for escalations, integrations, and system improvements. Manage consultant engagements to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
