Senior System Administrator

Job Summary

The Senior Systems Administrator will play a critical role in maintaining and securing ATS’s IT infrastructure. This position focuses on implementing technical solutions, managing endpoint protection, conducting vulnerability assessments, and performing efficient patch management through Azure Arc. The role requires in-depth technical expertise, strategic problem-solving, and a commitment to ensuring the availability, security, and reliability of ATS’s IT systems and service

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years in IT systems administration or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of server platforms, virtualization, storage, certificates, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
  • Experience managing CrowdStrike Falcon® and conducting vulnerability assessments.
  • Expertise with Azure Arc for patch management and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in scripting, especially with PowerShell.

Responsibilities

1. Endpoint Security Management:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to protect against endpoint threats.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, ensuring timely incident response and remediation.
  • Stay informed on evolving security threats and adjust security measures accordingly.

2. Vulnerability Management:

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments across systems and applications.
  • Prioritize and address vulnerabilities based on risk and impact assessments.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to remediate vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Document vulnerability assessment results and remediation activities.

3. Patch Management via Azure Arc:

  • Leverage Azure Arc for patch deployment and management across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Ensure systems are up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
  • Develop and maintain patch management policies and troubleshoot deployment issues.

4. System Administration:

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network devices.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems and applications.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages, such as PowerShell.

5. Security Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present reports on system performance, security posture, and incident response.
  • Participate in security audits and assessments, addressing gaps where necessary.
