Business Analyst (Service Parts

Overview

 

ATS’ Global Services team is a dynamic, change-leading team that drives the delivery of value-driven Services to our customers worldwide. Services is a growing component of the overall delivery of value to ATS’ customers globally and offers an opportunity for an opportunistic individual to create a well-defined offer structure of high-value service solutions to drive ongoing value. 


We are seeking a data-driven and solutions-oriented Business Analyst to support our Parts Services department with actionable insights and strategic analysis. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify trends, evaluate business performance, and highlight opportunities for growth and process improvement. By translating complex data into clear recommendations, the analyst will play a key role in strengthening customer responsiveness, enhancing business visibility, and enabling data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

•    Analyze business data and spare parts trends (demand, consumption, and sales) to identify risks, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement, while supporting the maintenance of DVM data sources for critical processes.
•    Conduct spares consumption analysis to forecast demand and support inventory planning and optimization.
•    Perform customer-specific analysis to understand buying patterns, part usage, and service requirements, and support the development of actionable insights and recommendations.
•    Leverage CRM, ERP, PLM, and other business data sources to support analysis, track performance, and provide insights that drive informed decision-making across the Parts Services department.
•    Perform parts data analysis and execute data conditioning in support of data harmonization between business applications.
•    Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs, consumption trends, and business performance for the Parts Services department.
•    Conduct ABM (ATS Business Model) problem solving to ensure that root causes of issues are identified and corrective actions are implemented. Participate in other ABM and Kaizen events as called upon.
•    Support projects related to implementing and improving processes, including systems related projects.
•    Support the continuous improvement of parts-related IT systems by providing analysis, feedback, and requirements that enable the team to deliver parts faster and at optimized costs.
•    Enhance data integrity via process improvements.
•    Prepare clear summaries and presentations that communicate findings to leadership and support strategic decision-making.
•    Ensure data accuracy and consistency across sources to enable reliable reporting and analysis.
•    Adhere to all ISO procedures and departmental policies and procedures.
•    Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.

Qualifications

•    A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Data Analytics, IT, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
•    2 to 3 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or a similar analytical role.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
•    Understanding of automation spares parts business is preferred.

  • Data analysis experience using Python or Excel (advanced Excel skills such as Power Query or VBA are assets)
  • Experience in business process mapping (using tools like Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart) and documenting business requirements

•    Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
•    Basic understanding of statistical and forecasting methods to support analysis of demand, consumption trends, and inventory planning.
•    Familiarity with business process mapping and workflow documentation to support process improvement initiatives.
•    Experience or familiarity with Salesforce or JD Edwards (JDE) ERP system is considered an asset.
•    Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
•    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
