Total Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $84,000 - $115,000 per year

MAJOR DUTIES
The Group Lead, Purchased Parts plays a critical role in keeping projects moving. This position leads a team of Buyers responsible for sourcing the parts that directly impact cost, schedule, and build readiness across the business. You’re not just managing transactions, you’re setting direction, removing obstacles, and raising the bar on how purchased parts are sourced, negotiated, and delivered.
This role blends hands‑on supply chain expertise with people leadership, supplier strategy, and continuous improvement.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of Purchased Parts Buyers.
- Set clear expectations, support prioritization, and help the team navigate challenges and escalations.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews focused on growth, accountability, and results.
- Run departmental Daily Visual Management (DVM) and ensure PO dates are kept accurate with proper notes.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Oversee sourcing and purchasing activities to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives are met.
- Support Buyers in supplier negotiations, expediting efforts, and issue resolution.
- Strengthen supplier relationships and ensure alignment with ATS purchasing principles and standards.
- Review purchasing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in current purchasing processes.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve speed, clarity, and execution.
- Work closely with project teams, engineering, quality, finance, and leadership to align priorities and resolve issues.
- Support escalation management and provide clear, timely communication on risks and mitigation plans.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support Supply Chain operations.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· A post-secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing or equivalent
· Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) certification is an asset
Experience
· A minimum of five years’ proven experience in purchasing or supply chain within a manufacturing or project-based environment.
· Proven negotiation capabilities
· Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· ERP knowledge is necessary (JDE is an asset)
· Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and other MS Office software.

The Compensation offered will be based on the local job market and may vary depending on factors such as the job-related knowledge, skills, experience of the selected candidate, as well as other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
