Job Summary:
The Enterprise Architect role is responsible for a wide variety of information technologies, including Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Azure, Cloud Services, On-premises servers, Storage Area Network (SAN), Backup Systems, Virtualized Server (VMware, Hyper-V), Databases (MS SQL), MDM, Certificates, and Automation software. The role requires the ability to independently run projects following a project management methodology. The incumbent will need to plan and execute several different projects including Mergers and Acquisitions. The role is also involved in Data Centre infrastructure operations such as the UPS, power distribution, cooling systems and physical security devices at our different data centers.
What you will do:
• MUST Have 7+ years in progressing technical roles with 3+ years as a Senior Systems Administrator.
• Seeking an individual who is skilled in Authentication, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Identity Access solutions.
• Candidates must provide technical expertise, leadership, and guidance over complex identity, and Merger & Acquisition projects.
• Provides highly skilled technical input to tactical and strategic planning while serving as the highest-level point of escalation during major service incidents.
• Takes ownership of risks associated with business activities, ensuring they are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
• Follows security, risk, and compliance policies / procedures for business activities.
• Follows standard change control, ticketing, project methodology, and incident management processes.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences and transfer knowledge to other teams or more junior staff.
• Able to manage work across multiple areas with sometimes competing priorities.
• Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support as required. Travel to other Sites as needed.
• Maintain all hardware and software services supported by the IT Technical Services team including but not limited to: Enterprise servers, Active Directory including Domain Controllers, PKI, Certificates, Virtualization, VDI, Azure, Office 365, Database Servers, SAN, SFTP, Anti-virus, MDM, and Cloud Services.
• Maintain documentation covering systems that the IT Technical Services team supports, including but not limited to servers / system software, System Standards, Operations procedures, etc.
What you will need:
Education & Certification
• University degree or college diploma in a related discipline or relevant work experience in the IT Systems Administration and IT Operations field.
• Certification such as Microsoft, Azure, VMware or other similar certifications relating to the job functions are desirable.
Knowledge & Experience
• 7+ years in progressing technical roles with 3+ years as a Senior Systems Administrator.
• Expert knowledge of server platforms, virtualization, storage, certificates, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Advanced experience with Cloud Technologies such as Azure, Office 365, etc.
• Advanced experience with PowerShell scripting
• Experience supporting mobile device management systems.
• Knowledge of technical management processes (change control, disaster recovery planning, security administration and best practices)
• Knowledge of related Windows Server, network, and operations disciplines
• Knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies across a broad range of IT disciplines, including, hardware, software, networking, operating systems, applications development and database management.
• Working knowledge of project management best practices.
• Knowledge of key business processes and a strong understanding of the technical requirements for those key processes.
