MAJOR DUTIES:
The Marketing Event Specialist is responsible for developing, planning, executing, and measuring all North American customer engagement programs, including tradeshows, conferences, customer events, webinars, podcasts, and other virtual or hybrid experiences for ATS Life Sciences Systems. This role ensures every program supports the businesses objectives by generating qualified sales opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, enhancing brand awareness, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and external partners, this individual will lead all aspects of event management from strategic planning and budgeting through execution, lead follow-up, and ROI reporting.
The successful candidate is a highly organized project manager with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced hybrid work environment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the planning, execution, promotion, and post-event analysis of all North American tradeshows, conferences, customer events, webinars, podcasts, and virtual or hybrid programs.
- Develop comprehensive event project plans, including objectives, messaging, timelines, budgets, success metrics, resources, schedules, and responsibilities.
- Recommend and execute the annual North American events strategy in support of the company's sales and marketing objectives.
- Negotiate event contracts, manage registrations, secure insurance, coordinate purchase orders, approve invoices, and manage relationships with venues, vendors, contractors, and third-party partners.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including booth design, shipping, installation and dismantle, audiovisual requirements, catering, travel, accommodations, meeting rooms, displays, promotional materials, and event assets.
- Coordinate webinar and podcast production, including scheduling, speaker management, rehearsals, platform setup, recording, promotion, and post-event distribution.
- Develop event-specific promotional plans in collaboration with the marketing team, including email campaigns, social media, digital marketing, website content, and attendee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal marketing teams to develop event-related presentations, graphics, videos, promotional materials, briefing packages, and other supporting assets.
- Coordinate lead management activities, post-event reporting, and sales follow-up to maximize event ROI.
- Measure and report on event performance, including attendance, lead generation, sales meetings, MQLs, sales funnel contribution, ROI, and other established KPIs, while providing regular project status updates and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Create, manage, and track the annual events budget, ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintain and manage the inventory of tradeshow and event assets.
- Collaborate with other ATS business units and marketing teams on co-hosted events and promotional initiatives.
- Create purchase requisitions and process marketing invoices through JDE
Additional Information
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field
Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in event marketing or event management within a complex B2B, industrial, or global organization
- Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale events simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets
- Proven experience planning and executing tradeshows, conferences, webinars, and customer events that generate qualified leads and measurable business results
- Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Process-driven with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience managing event budgets, vendors, logistics, and cross-functional project teams
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout North America, with occasional international travel as required
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce experience preferred)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is considered an asset
- Experience in the life sciences, automation, or medical device industry is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of two days per week in the office and additional in-office attendance as required to support events and business need

- Provide information, instruction and supervision to employees.
- Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of employees.
- Attend HSE Due Diligence for Management training sessions.
