  • Reports To: Senior Applications Engineering Specialist - Service
  • Duration: 8 months (September – April)
  • Location: Cambridge (Onsite)
  • Range: $20.44 - $30.43

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Project Coordinator Co-op will support the Applications After Sales & Service team by completing special projects such as developing new tools to optimize our processes or streamlining how we gather, analyze, and share costing and sales data. This team is responsible for proposing solutions, costing, and developing service proposals for automation customers in the Life Sciences industry. The Project Coordinator Co-op Student will work with other team members to support these activities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis including creating and pulling reports from Salesforce and other systems.
  • Support ROM selling by gathering existing information in Salesforce/SharePoint/JDE etc. to create reference materials.
  • Propose and develop solutions to support performance of automated systems after installation at the customer facility. 
  • Create an initial work plan and project schedule.
  • Develop cost and price models for proposed solutions.
  • Draft proposals with keen attention to detail
  • Conform to proposal delivery expectations and promote continuous improvement ideas for on time delivery for proposals.
  • Present solutions, costing, and pricing to management for approvals 
  • Follow opportunities through the sales process and keep records of customer interactions using Customer Relationship Management system (SalesForce and Oracle)
  • Develop business tools aimed at streamlining how we gather, analysis and share data.
  • Ad-hoc projects such as developing and implementing new tools/enhancements.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

Education:

  • The preferred candidate must have completed at least 4 semesters from a post-secondary degree program in Mechanical/Systems/Electrical engineering or equivalent.

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Salesforce, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and Windows. VBA or other programming skills would be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of Business Development and Project Management
  • Working knowledge and/or familiarity with automation, robotics, machine controls, and manufacturing processes
  • Team oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven and eager to learn.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to provide clear and concise documentation, reports, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
