Job Summary:

 

This role is responsible for configuring and maintaining the Network and Security Infrastructure, integrating networks on a global basis with multiple business units and various cloud environments, and setting up, integrating, and maintaining multiple SDWAN infrastructures. You will mentor a team of other network staff, establish, and optimize our networks that cater to our internal customers and support business development.


You are an independent, detail-oriented technology enthusiast who has excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of Industry best practices network administration and architectures.

What you will do:

 

•    Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
•    Configure and maintain network equipment, ensuring high availability and reliability.
•    Demonstrated experience managing Cisco Data Centre network devices including managing Nexus ACI, Nexus 9k, 5k, and fabric switches
•    Experience with load balancer technologies such as F5 LTMs and GTMs is considered an asset
•    Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing necessary changes to enhance network efficiency.
•    Perform network troubleshooting to resolve complex issues and minimize network downtime.
•    Conduct regular network assessments, capacity planning, and vulnerability assessments.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions aligned with business requirements.
•    Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during off-work hours and/or extended hours when outages or projects required
•    Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs.
•    Maintain network security through implementation of appropriate protocols and access controls.
•    Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
•    Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in network technologies, making recommendations for their implementation.

What you will need:

 

•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
•    Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
•    Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
•    Full understanding and experience with enterprise ITSM best practices, inclusive of Service Request, Incident, Problem, Change procedures and ITIL.
•    In depth knowledge of Routing Protocols such as OSPF, and BGP
•    Expert knowledge and experience with network protocols, technologies, and topologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, MPLS, routing protocols) including Cisco & Palo Alto.
•    Expertise in configuring and managing enterprise-level network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
•    Strong experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
•    Functional understanding of network security principles and best practices.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
•    Experience in Automation/Scripting coding languages (e.g Python, Ansible, bash, PowerShell) will be considered an asset.
•    Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams with outstanding ability to troubleshoot.
•    Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
•    In depth knowledge of the following technology concepts: IoT, Monitoring analysis, Zero Trust, load balancing, VPN, and Identity and Access Management Solutions

 

Note:  There may be a requirement for after-hours support as well as some travel. This role is a hybrid role where you will work remote & on-site during a standard week.
