Summer Student - Nuclear Engineering

Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES: 

Supports the work of the ATS nuclear technologists and engineers performing duties as assigned.   Also interfaces with mechanical design, systems engineering, controls hardware and software design, toolmakers, supply chain, and project managers.     

Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct. 

Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures 

Performs the work, as directed, in accordance with the ATS quality program  

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Primary responsibilities: 

Assists in preparing engineering documents, or portions of documents, including but not limited to installation and removal procedures commissioning procedures, operating manuals, control software design descriptions, design verification test plans, factory acceptance test plans, calculations, drawings, verification matrices. 

Limited assistance with equipment testing, or preparation for testing as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education:    Enrolment in an engineering or technologist program.    

Software:     Working knowledge required of Solidworks, MS Word and Excel.
