Project Manager

SP Industries, an ATS Company, is expanding our team in Gardiner, NY and have immediate openings for a Project Manager!

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initial concept to full-scale production launch, ensuring every milestone is delivered on time, on budget, and above expectations.
  • Develop and manage detailed project roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans, adapting quickly to changes while keeping the team aligned and motivated.
  • Inspire and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, fostering open communication, accountability, and a “one team” mindset.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, marketing, operations, and customers to shape cutting-edge products that solve real problems and excite the market.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and roadblocks, implementing contingency plans to keep projects on track.
  • Manage the stage-gate process with discipline, ensuring every phase meets rigorous standards for performance, reliability, safety, and compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure the smartest use of resources without compromising quality or innovation.
  • Oversee all launch activities, from pilot runs to marketing handoff, ensuring a smooth and successful go-to-market rollout.
  • Track KPIs, prepare status updates, and deliver clear, actionable reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Capture lessons learned and lead process refinements to make each project more efficient than the last.
  • Some travel to other SP facilities, vendors, or customer sites may be necessary. Some travel may be foreign.

Education and Experience

 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree from a four-year college or university; or five to ten year's related training and experience in a technical, engineering, or science oriented field; or an equivalent combination of both education and experience.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on project management experience in product development, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven success managing projects through a structured stage-gate/tollgate process, from concept through launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Strong risk management skills—identifying potential issues early and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Familiarity with design verification/validation, product testing, and reliability engineering practices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for reporting project status to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Two to five years’ experience in vacuum, pressure vessel, refrigeration or related engineering fields is a plus.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software systems such as AutoCAD or Solidworks.
  • A working knowledge of technical drafting concepts, including orthographic and three-dimensional drafting principles.

 

 

 

Salary Range: $130k-140k

  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks

  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training

  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor

  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents

  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
