Centre of Excellence Engineer
Job Description
SP Industries is looking to hire a Centre of Excellence Engineer based in Ipswich.
This is a key position within the Global Service Centre of Excellence (COE) team. Your place of work will be at the Ipswich facility and UK customer sites (70 / 30 split respectively), however international travel could be expected.
This role is highly dependent on the individual’s ability to react to service requirements quickly and effectively and provide technical support to clients both remotely and on-site. The individual will be expected, after training, to have basic knowledge on aspects of the build and test processes of the complete range of SP products manufactured at the Ipswich facility, eventually extending to other SP Scientific products too.
Customer support and focus is at the core of this job function, and this role will help ensure customer downtime is minimised through the supply of spare components, the repair and maintenance of customer equipment, and in parallel, some technical support.
Through continuous official and “on job” training, the individual will be expected to diagnose system issues, fault find and repair the complete range of SP products manufactured at the Ipswich facility and beyond. System installations, commissioning, and regular preventative maintenance are likely service support requirements.
