Nuclear Sales Manager
Job Description
The ATS nuclear team designs, builds and services mission critical automation and test solutions for the nuclear industry. Our customers rely on us, and we help them transform and build what’s next for their business. As a Key Account Manager, you will leverage existing relationships with all levels in the customer organizations including senior management, develop new relationships with business unit leaders to understand their unique challenges and influence perspectives of ATS Industrial Automation. You will use the innovative power of our team to develop solutions to increase customer return on investment.
You will be responsible for promoting ATS technical capabilities, selling the company’s overall engineering and manufacturing solutions, positioning ATS as the leading and premier automation, tooling and integration company in the nuclear industry.
Specific Responsibilities
Sales Strategy
- Conduct market analysis to evaluate current market trends, understand customer preferences, identify potential competitors, and assess the overall demand for ATS product and services.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to transform the business by building markets in decommissioning/waste management and new nuclear builds, mainly Small Modular Reactors.
- Understand, interpret, and rapidly respond to market changes and customer needs by adjusting strategies & priorities in a fast transformative environment.
- Develop account plans and win strategies to drive sustainable growth and revenue aligned with the overall ATS Industrial Automation business strategy.
- Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select deals in line with strategies, and facilitate pitch logistics.
Forecasting and Budget
- Prepare and update order/bookings forecasts.
- Operate within the Sales Plan and operating budget parameters defined by the Vice President, Sales.
Final Negotiations
- Regarding price, schedule, terms and conditions and other commercial issues, the Account Manager will operate within the parameters prescribed by the Vice President of Sales
Customer Satisfaction
- Manages large, high-profile customer accounts / key accounts as appropriate, while establishing strong senior customer contacts relationships positioning ATS Industrial Automation as strategic long-term partner.
- Ensure trends in customer expectations are communicated to the Vice President of Sales and the General Manager within expected timeframes/using approved methods.
- Advocate and achieve customer satisfaction targets.
Qualifications
Education:
- A degree in engineering, business or another related field.
- MBA or another graduate degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Combined 5+ years of experience in a senior sales or key account capacity, ideally in the US nuclear industry
- Working knowledge of nuclear power plant operations and maintenance and inspection needs.
- Knowledge of the SMR (Small Modular Reactor Market) is an asset.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technology such as robotics, automation, tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.
- Demonstrated effective negotiation skills, representing the company's long-term business requirements on multi-year contracts.
- Proven success in establishing strong C-level customer relationships.
- Track record in supporting organizational transformations in a fast-growing market, overcoming barriers to entry, creating common purpose, and leading towards an aligned objective.
- Willingness to travel internationally and in United States & Canada (up to 30% of the time)
