Packaging Machine Operator

Scientific Products, an ATS Life Sciences Company is searching for a 1st Shift Packaging Machine Operator to join the team! The overall purpose of this job is responsible for operating packaging machine to produce a variety of finished quality packages containing magnetic stir bars.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Obtain appropriate finished product from the stock location
Load finished product into the packaging machine
Visually monitor the products as they move through the packaging equipment; inspect product/packaging accordingly; troubleshoot as necessary
Move finished good to the appropriate location to fulfill customer orders

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. 6 to 12 months manufacturing experience.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 25 to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job for purposes of machine operation and product inspection include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are typical of those an employee might encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.
The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.
The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.
