Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor coordinates and supervises the activities of employees in Logistics on day to day activities in Shipping, Receiving & Inventory.  Other duties include: 

  • Drive Divisional Shipping and Receiving (S&R) to 100% on time delivery.
  • Overseeing of all S&R duties to be performed daily.
  • Supervision of other S&R members to ensure duties are performed as required.
  • Point person for all incoming requests of S&R from other departments and coordination with S&R members to ensure completion of requested tasks.
  • Spare Parts Management including reviewing spare parts reports ensuring on-time shipments are met, picking/packing & shipping
  • Ensure International shipment standards are met and in compliance.
  • Ensure receiving for all incoming shipments, mark documents, identify items, and move to a designated area. 
  • Help maintain ERP database & suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Set and monitor departmental goals in keeping with company objectives.  Develop, implement, and maintain standards within the department in keeping with these goals.
  • Establish and maintain Daily Visual Management (DVM) for all personnel and on all projects to provide current status on completion of activities and performance to objectives and value drivers.
  • Establish and maintain individual metrics for all Assembly personnel to provide current status on individual performance to goals.
  • Cultivate talent through structured employee development plans, 1-on-1 employee meetings, and career pathing for all direct reports.
  • Interview and select new work center members; conduct annual reviews.
  • HSE/First Responder for S&R department.



  • Completion of a recognized technical or similar program through college or university or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing, custom equipment environment, preferably in international markets.
  • Individual must have an ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with people at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in written form.
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of machine operations, mechanical and electronic controls.
  • Ability to interpret schedules and assign workload.
  • Lean, Six-Sigma, QRM, or other continuous improvement experience.
  • Computer knowledgeable with such programs as Windows, Excel, Word, MS Outlook, Adobe, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes, including inspection tools.
  • Basic knowledge of material handling equipment.
  • Finally, person must be hands-on and must be able to meet deadlines for his or her responsibilities either directly or indirectly.


•    The employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
•    Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently. 
•    Visual Acuity – Normal requirements for reading written instructions and computer screens.
•    Hearing Ability – Normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions. 
•    Working Conditions – The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting manufacturing floor. 
•    Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods of time.
•    Must work overtime as required.


•    Works in a shared environment. 
•    Environment contains several hazards including electrical wiring and motorized vehicles (tow motors).
