MAJOR DUTIES:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for are as follows:
- Pick and stage material for shop requirements
- Pull and pack customer orders
- Organize and maintain stock levels and bins
- Manage and update data corresponding to job requirements
- Attention to detail
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Understanding project timelines
- Communicate project readiness to key stakeholders
- Cross-functional teamwork with project management, engineering, shop floor, and production planning
- Cross Training with shipping and receiving
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Daily work in GSS (ERP system) and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to manage multiple items across a handful of projects to provide updates to key stakeholders
Safety
- Ensure all applicable regulatory standards are met with regards to loss prevention, accident investigation, OSHA compliance.
- Works with team members to actively improve safety of the plant.
- Ensures that workshop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material.
- Ensure safety action items are completed accurately and timely.
Continuous Improvement
- Participates in CI initiatives and activities. (5S events, Kaizen events, weekly CIP meetings, Root Cause Investigations, and improvement projects)
- Work with team members to provide input to improve process and workspaces.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Experience working in a project-oriented environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Good time management.
- Attention to detail.
- 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years Microsoft Office
- 2+ years working in ERP system.
- Strong communication skills
- 2+ years working with inventory / material handling.
- Strong organizational skills, including record keeping utilizing Excel
