Welder
Job Description: Welder
Division: NCC Automated Systems
Location: Souderton, PA
Department: Fabrication
Reports To: Fabrication Team Leader / Manufacturing Manager
Why is this Position Important?
Welding and fabrication are an integral part of NCC’s production process and are essential to meeting customer requirements. Our ability to manufacture high-quality conveyor and automation systems depends on precision welding and fabrication.
The scope and capability of NCC’s product offerings rely heavily on welding technologies. Without this expertise, we would be limited in the types of products we can deliver to the industry.
NCC utilizes multiple welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and Arc welding, to ensure proper application based on material and design requirements.
Additionally:
- The food industry’s hygienic requirements demand sanitary welds that prevent bacteria harborage and meet USDA standards when applicable
- Surface finish quality is critical to meeting customer specifications and ensuring product uniformity
- Accurate interpretation of engineering drawings is essential to producing assemblies that meet tolerance, fit, and functional requirements
- Frame alignment and squareness directly impact the performance and reliability of conveyor systems
This role also supports overall fabrication operations, contributing to a high-quality and consistent manufacturing process.
