Job Summary
ATS is seeking an Internal Auditor (Temporary Position) to support the Internal Audit & Compliance team during a maternity leave coverage period.
This role will primarily focus on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal control activities, including control testing, documentation, evaluation of control effectiveness, remediation tracking, and coordination with business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work closely with control owners, finance teams, external auditors, and Internal Audit personnel to strengthen and maintain the company's internal control environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in internal audit, external audit, internal controls, accounting, finance transformation, or SOX compliance to further develop their expertise in a global manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform SOX and internal control testing activities in accordance with established methodologies and corporate requirements.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key financial and operational controls.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and well-supported audit and testing documentation.
• Coordinate with process owners and business stakeholders to obtain supporting evidence and resolve testing questions.
• Track identified control deficiencies and support remediation follow-up activities.
• Assist in documenting business processes, risks, and controls.
• Support management in strengthening the internal control environment.
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide requested documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to continuous improvements of audit and SOX processes, templates, and methodologies.
• Utilize technology and data analytics where appropriate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities.
• Participate in special projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
Qualifications
• 2-6 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Internal Audit
o External Audit
o SOX Compliance
o Internal Controls
o Accounting & Financial Reporting
o Finance Transformation
o Risk & Compliance
• Experience evaluating financial processes and controls.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional proficiency in both German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SOX or other internal control frameworks.
• Experience working with manufacturing organizations.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Experience supporting external audit activities.
• Familiarity with process documentation and control remediation activities

The Compensation offered will be based on the local job market and may vary depending on factors such as the job-related knowledge, skills, experience of the selected candidate, as well as other objective business considerations.
