Scientific Products, an ATS Life Sciences Company  is expanding our team and have immediate openings for a Lehr Tender – 1st Shift! To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. WHAT YOU WILL DO

•    Load and unload lehrs with glassware.
•    Must be adept in the handling of a wide variety of glassware to prevent damage or bending during lehring.
•    Read and interpret company or customer prints, sketches and specifications.
•    Thoroughly familiar with locations and placement of all decals.
•    Must be able to recognize a wide variety of different apparatuses and components.
•    Route glassware to proper locations.
•    Responsible for maintaining lehr carts and racks.
•    Must be able to load lehrs for maximum efficiency with a variety of types of glassware, such as pyrex, soda lime, etc. and set the controls at the proper time and temperature.
•    Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
•    Advise supervisor of any out of standard conditions, need for replacement or addition of tooling, materials or supplies.
•    Must be skilled in the proper use of polariscopes in determining acceptable strain levers of glass.
•    Must observe all precautions, rules and regulations related to environmental, health and safety matters (i.e., PPE, properly deposing of wastes, etc.).
•    Complete all related paperwork.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

•    0-1 years of glass experience
•    Appropriate hand and eye coordination
•    Ability to read blueprints
•    Basic 5S concepts
•    Prior experience working in a team oriented environment
•    Proficient in math
•    High School diploma or GED
