Operations Assistant

SP Industries Inc. is hiring for our team in Vineland, NJ and has an immediate opening for an Operations Assistant. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for the creation, processing, and maintenance of production work orders across all three product lines (PB, LG, and NMR). This role is focused on accurate data entry, work order processing, and system updates to ensure timely and correct execution of manufacturing requirements. The position supports production operations by maintaining high data integrity within the ERP system and ensuring work orders are properly documented, released, and closed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, enter, and process work orders for all product lines (PB, LG, and NMR) within the ERP system
  • Ensure accuracy of all work order data, including quantities, dates, routing information, and material references
  • Release work orders to production in accordance with scheduling and operational requirements
  • Update and maintain work order status throughout the production lifecycle
  • Perform accurate data entry related to work order changes, adjustments, and completions
  • Verify completeness of documentation prior to work order closure
  • Identify and correct data entry errors or discrepancies in coordination with production planning or engineering teams
  • Generate basic work order reports and support administrative tracking needs
  • Maintain organized and accurate digital records within the ERP system (e.g., JD Edwards or equivalent)
  • Ensure adherence to internal procedures and data integrity standards
  • Support general administrative tasks related to production documentation as needed

 

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–3 years of experience in data entry, manufacturing administration, or work order processing preferred
  • Familiarity with work order systems or production documentation workflows
  • Experience working in an ERP system (JD Edwards preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to manage multiple work orders across different product lines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks

  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
