CAD Designer/Drafter - Temporary

ATS Scientific Products is seeking a highly skilled Drafter/Designer to join our team at ATS Scientific Products, a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical equipment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering team to translate their designs and specifications into detailed technical drawings. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Drawing Creation: Work closely with engineers to develop accurate and detailed technical drawings and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. These drawings will encompass various components and assemblies of pharmaceutical equipment.
  • Conversion of Designs: Translate engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into comprehensive and precise drawings that adhere to industry standards and regulations, including expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Part Number Creation: Generate part numbers for components and assemblies in accordance with established naming conventions and organizational guidelines.
  • ERP Data Entry: Enter design data, including part numbers, bill of materials (BOM), and other relevant information, into the ERP system with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and data entries to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements, including adherence to GD&T principles. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of projects within established timelines and objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of drawings, revisions, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
  • SolidWorks Associate or Professional Certification is required.
  • Proven experience working as a drafter or designer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD,
  • SolidWorks, or similar tools, with expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and experience in data entry and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to pharmaceutical equipment design and manufacturing is a plus.
